hey, you pretty much inspire the absolute fuck out of me (as you probably can tell by my tumblr) im throwing this ask at you because i have a question or two (just for perspective) that if you would be oh so kind in answering ide fucking appreciate it. First is: I know you are doing what is basically art to you but do you make a living off your photography and SECOND: whats your perspective or stance on the whole art vs porn debate.

hhaa. wow. thanks. it’s always nice to hear that i inspire anyone to do anything. my stance on art in general is pretty blue collar & i do not make a living off of it. i’m a mere wage slave pumping it out for man. i DO make money from models who are building their portfolios & models ” ” who are building their instagrams. ;)

art vs porn? i’m ok with porn. i’m ok with art. the two can coexist & work together. nothing wrong with artistic porn. lighting, composition, exposure, subject. all those elements do come into play though when differentiating bewtween the two or when the two mutually coincide. i’ve seen some beautiful porn. i’ve seen some horrible baby photos. give me the beauty, please!

you’ve also got to consider that so many things can be pornographic to so many people. foot fetish, for example, does nothing for me BUT many folks get harder than chinese algebra looking at pictures of feet. it’s porn for them but not for me. i’m sure straight couples photographed sexually does nothing for a gay person & like wise gay porn would do nothing for a straight person. each to their own.

i hope that helps clear the air for you. thanks for all the kind words.

  1. geekyvamp said: good responses. re the art vs porn I’m reminded of the Bill Henson furore ignited in australia a few years ago over his photos of adolescents. to me they were art, but for a substantial number of people they were pedophilic filth :(
